Virginia Tech hosted a large number of top recruits for their Junior Day event in Blacksburg on Saturday afternoon.  One of those prospects was Cox High School (Virginia Beach) defensive end Jordan Williams.

Williams is the #10 recruit in the state in TSL’s early rankings. Rivals.com ranks him the #10 prospect in the state as well, while he is #22 in 247’s rankings. TSL spoke with Williams last night via direct Twitter message, and he confirmed that his visit to Blacksburg went very well.

“It went really great,” Williams said. “I really enjoyed my time there and it was nice seeing campus and being able to to see all of the coaches and talk to them.”

The Hokies sit in a good position right now, but they will have to fend off many other major programs. The 6-5, 245-lb prospect already holds offers from Clemson, Penn State, Pitt, UNC, NC State, Maryland, and others.
