Dozier Eyes Summer Decision, January Enrollment

Damien Dozier’s stay at Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA) was brief but productive. Primarily an outside linebacker, the 6’4”, 215-pound prospect racked up close to 130 tackles with seven sacks in 2013, helping VES capture a VIS Division 1 state championship. In addition, “I got a chance to really pick my grades up,” Dozier said. “Football was great. It was just a real pleasure to be part of that program.”

Before transferring to VES for the 2013/2014 school year, Dozier attended Enloe High School (Raleigh, N.C.). He was originally scheduled to graduate in May of 2014 but reclassified to the class of 2015 when he transferred to VES. Dozier now plans on transferring back to a public school in Raleigh this fall with the intent of graduating in December and enrolling in college in January of 2015.

Dozier’s college opportunities are approaching double-digits.

“Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, U-Conn, Marshall, Delaware State, Maine… I know I’m leaving out a school or two, but these are most of the ones off the top of my head with offers on the table,” said Dozier, who is optimistic that the hometown NC State Wolfpack will come through soon as well.
