Mook Reynolds felt national recruiting analysts and even college coaches had “slept on” his talents. The Northern Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.) rising senior cornerback did well to dispel any doubts about his abilities last weekend, when he competed the Nike Football Training Camp in Charlotte on Saturday and a Rivals Camp Series event on Sunday.
“I felt like I performed very well,” Reynolds said, discussing his day at the NFTC. “I felt like I did enough to get the award for defensive back MVP. I wasn’t disappointed when I didn’t get it, because a teammate of mine in 7-on-7 got it, but I think I showed that I’m a technician and I’m physical. I was mirroring guys, playing up close, playing off, and doing a lot of different things out there.”
ESPN’s Craig Haubert wrote that Reynolds was “arguably the top overall performer in our eyes” at the event.
The 6’0”, 165-pound Reynolds said his “physicality stood out to [the ESPN] guys.”
