Hokies and Hoos Set for 3:30 Kickoff

Virginia Tech’s November 26th matchup with in-state rival Virginia will kick off from Charlottesville at 3:30 and will be televised by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. Also, Logan Thomas and Danny Coale were honored by the ACC for their performances in Thursday night’s win over Georgia Tech.

The Hokies and Hoos are the only two teams who remain alive for the Coastal Division championship. VT plays UNC on Thursday night in Blacksburg, and UVA plays at Florida State on Saturday. There is a chance that the VT-UVA game on November 26th could decide the Coastal Division.

However, if the Hokies win on Thursday and the Hoos lose on Saturday, then Virginia Tech will clinch the Coastal Division. That would set up a rematch between VT and Clemson in the ACC Championship Game.

Thomas, Coale Honored by the ACC

Logan Thomas was named ACC Offensive Back of the Week, while Danny Coale was named ACC Wide Receiver of the Week. Both players had big games in Virginia Tech’s huge win over Georgia Tech on Thursday night.

Thomas completed 7-of-13 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 70 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and was incredibly difficult to tackle for the smaller Georgia Tech defense.

Danny Coale caught two passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. His first catch was a huge 63 yard touchdown before halftime during which he beat the Georgia Tech secondary to the endzone. His second reception was a diving catch down the left sideline that he brought in with one hand.
