North Oconee (Bogart, GA) senior lineman Joseph Scelfo is currently considering scholarship offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Syracuse. He has received interest from a group of schools that includes Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, and at this point is keeping his options open.

Scelfo, a 6’2″, 270-pound center/guard for North Oconee, says his recruiting “is speeding up. I’ve been getting more interest from bigger schools. They want to see how my season plays out. But it’s going really good. Of course, I’m focusing on my level right now. On the weekends, I sit down with my family and focus on recruiting.”

Clemson, Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Tech and South Florida are some of the schools Scelfo has seen unofficially. Virginia Tech is a school he would like to see before the season is out.

“I want to go to Blacksburg and check it out,” Scelfo said. “I don’t know which game I will go to, but I told my parents I wanted to get to Blacksburg sometime this season.”
