After picking up its fourth commitment of the 2011 class, Virginia Tech men’s basketball hopes to keep the proverbial ball rolling. Tech is in serious contention for skilled big man Adjehi Baru , a 6-9, 225-pound senior out of Steward School in Richmond, Virginia. Baru is in the midst of making his official visits and Virginia Tech is scheduled to be one of those destinations.

“He is down to five schools,” Steward School head coach Elliot Gravitt said. “He is down to Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, College of Charleston and USC (Southern California).

“Adjehi has visited College of Charleston and he has got three other visits lined up. As of right now, I don’t know if he has a date for USC set up.”

Coach Gravitt wasn’t sure of the exact dates for the coming three officials. Reportedly, Baru will head to Blacksburg on the weekend of October 16, Maryland on the weekend of October 23 and UNC on the weekend of October 30.
