Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) junior Demetrious Nicholson has surpassed the double-digit mark in terms of FBS official scholarship offers. The 5-9, 165-pound cornerback has not visited many schools, though he recently attended junior days at two ACC programs, North Carolina and Virginia.

Nicholson’s first trip was to UNC, which happened to be the first school to extend an official offer. North Carolina has been high on the Bayside star’s list throughout this process and the visit only helped.

“The North Carolina visit was my first real visit to any college, for one,” Nicholson said. “I had a pretty good time there. I liked their facility. I talked to the players and they answered any questions I had. The coaches stepped out of the room, so it was just us and the players talking. I got to go see a basketball game. I got to see what their plans were for me.”

When making these visits, Nicholson wants to get a feel for how he fits at each school, how he fits into the football program and what the social atmosphere is like. He says he “felt good overall on all those areas” at UNC.
