Manning Discusses VT, Clemson Trips

John Manning ‘s 3-school trip last week was productive…long, but productive. The 6-11, 220-pound Chantilly (VA) junior started last Wednesday with a visit to the University of Virginia, toured Virginia Tech last Thursday and ended with a trip to Clemson on Saturday. TSL caught up with the Manning following the first leg of the trip, and now he took time to discuss the latter two visits.

Manning, accompanied by his parents, traveled to Blacksburg last Wednesday night. The next day he met up with the entire Tech coaching staff including head coach Seth Greenberg.

“I got to see the whole campus,” recalled Manning, who had taken in a Tech football game before but had never thoroughly seen Virginia Tech’s campus. “The new practice facility there is amazing. I watched two workouts, actually. I watched some of the post guys’ workout and then some of the wing players’ workout.”

Tech is Manning’s lone high-major offer at the moment. Coach Greenberg offered over the summer and has impressed the Northern Virginia standout.
