Offer Profile: Star OL Cann Names Top 7

6-2 1/2, 260-pound A.J. Cann , a standout junior out of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School (S.C.), has earned scholarship offers from top programs throughout the country. While he is being recruited to play on the interior offensive line by just about every school recruiting him, he has displayed ability on offense and defense as a two-year starter on the varsity level.

On offense, he graded out at 92 percent and totaled 40 pancake blocks last season as a junior. Defensively, he totaled 64 tackles including 22 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.

“A.J. is blessed at being able to play well on both sides of the football,” Bamberg-Ehrhardt head coach Kevin Crosby said. “He plays well on defense but is one heck of an offensive lineman. He is just a great kid all around. He is the leader of our team. He sticks and stays on blocks. He has good hands, long arms and great feet. He is physical. He is getting stronger and benching real well. He also runs track for us. He is a versatile kid and that makes him special. It is the reason why he has been recruited the way he has.”

Coach Crosby believes his standout has potential at several offensive line positions on the next level.
