6-6, 310-pound defensive tackle Nick Acree , who has been committed to Virginia Tech since last spring, has indicated throughout that he would take all five official visits despite being solid in his decision. Yesterday, the state of Virginia star revealed what is very good news as far as Virginia Tech is concerned.

“I’m not going to take any visits,” said Acree, who boasted offers from Florida and LSU, among others, in addition to Virginia Tech. “I’m going to stick with Virginia Tech. I’m committed and my commitment is strong. I see what they have to offer me and I’m very excited about it. I’m ready to go ahead and get there and see where the program can go.”

This latest news comes on the heels of Acree’s latest visit to Virginia Tech. He was in attendance for Tech’s junior prospect day this past Saturday.

“I’ve been to Virginia Tech two other times, but it was a great time,” Acree said. “It was fun to go back and see where I’ll be going. I had a blast.”
