Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD) defensive end Jason Ankrah has scheduled an official visit to Virginia Tech for the weekend of January 24th. The problem as far as Tech is concerned is that the 6-4, 240-pound senior is leaning heavily towards making a college decision before then.

“I plan on taking a visit, but it is really late,” Ankrah said, referring to Virginia Tech. “I wanted to get an earlier date, but they couldn’t work it out with me. I’m supposed to be going on the 23rd of January or something like that.

“I’ll probably make a decision in a couple of weeks.”

Ankrah was visited in-home recently by Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster as well as by primary recruiter Kevin Sherman. Tech remains interested, but for now the Maryland standout is leaning towards three other programs.
