VT-Nebraska Kickoff Time Announced

Kickoff time for Virginia Tech’s September 27th game at Nebraska has been set. The Hokies and Cornhuskers will kickoff at 8pm EST and the game will be a split national telecast on ABC, according to Nebraska’s official athletics website.

Nebraska is 3-0 on the season, with relatively easy wins over Western Michigan (47-24), San Jose State (35-12) and New Mexico State (38-7). They have a bye this week, which means they will be undefeated when the Hokies come to town. It also means they have an extra week to prepare for Tech.

The Hokies have one more big game before traveling to Nebraska. Tech takes on UNC in Chapel Hill this weekend in a battle that could go a long way in determining the Coastal Division champion.

This will be Virginia Tech’s first meeting with Nebraska since the 1996 Orange Bowl, which the Cornhuskers won 41-21. Nebraska is 26-3 all-time in home night games.
