Led by primary recruiter Charley Wiles, Virginia Tech’s coaching staff stays in consistent contact with Nassau Community College (Long Island, N.Y.) defensive end recruit Mike Gee . Gee, a 6-1, 245-pound prospect, still feels the same about Virginia Tech, the school with which he signed back in February of 2006.

“I definitely do want to be a Hokie,” Gee said.

Though Gee isn’t certain if he has an official offer just yet, the Virginia Tech coaches are pursuing him as if he does have one. Coach Wiles calls once a week and is trying to firm up visit dates with the former New Jersey prep standout.

“The last time we talked, he was talking to me about coming down for an unofficial visit either November 10th or November 17th. After that, he would want me in for an official visit in December so I could really talk with the coaching staff,” Gee said.
