Coaches from Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech have stopped by Phoebus High School recently for Maurice Hampton , the talented 6-3, 275-pound senior. In our last interview with the offensive/defensive line prospect, Maryland and Virginia Tech were the two schools on top…is this still the case?

“Yes. It’s still Virginia Tech and Maryland,” Hampton replied.

“I see it this way. Both are good schools. They are some of the top schools around here. It’s just me finding out how much of a shot I have at playing at those schools. And I want to find a place that keeps my interest.”

From Virginia Tech, Coach Jim Cavanaugh made the trip to Phoebus.
