Varina (VA) standouts Bud Tribbey were in Blacksburg this past weekend on official visits to Virginia Tech. Tech already has a commitment from four-star defensive back Davon Morgan and the Hokies seem the have impressed Morgan’s teammates as well.
“Both of them told me they had a good time and everything,” Varina Offensive Coordinator Blanda Wolfe said. “They both told me they really liked the coaches and got to know more about the school. They enjoyed the game even though Virginia Tech didn’t come out on top. Jamar made comment that the stadium was the loudest one he’s ever been in. So I think they had a good time. I don’t think they are close a decision yet, but I think they had a good time.”
Jackson was hosted by Noland Burchette. Both Jackson and Tribbey spent a lot of time with Victor “Macho” Harris. Davon Morgan was in town on an unofficial visit as well.
