New Town (Owings Mills, MD) star Douglas McNeil is anxious to get to Virginia Tech. He’s anxious for the opportunity to play wide receiver, to show he has the ability to play the position very effectively on the next level. Basically, he is hoping to build upon what he accomplished in high school.

“I’m looking forward to it a lot,” McNeil said of playing wide receiver for Virginia Tech. “I’m anxious to see how good I am.”

McNeil went ahead and committed to Virginia Tech after meeting with Tech assistant Tony Ball on January 15th. Tech, which is where McNeil attended summer camp in 2005, was his favorite virtually the whole way through.

“Coach Ball was just asking me about the things I wanted to accomplish on the next level,” McNeil said. “Once I answered those questions, it was clear where I wanted to go.”
