Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) running back Antwain Carey ‘s return this season was cut short after re-injuring his foot…the same foot that kept him sidelined for the first part of the season. He is keeping in good spirits despite the injury.

“Everything happens for a reason,” said Carey, who may be able to play if the Hornets make the playoffs. “I know my team wants me back. I’m just there to support them right now.”

Carey acknowledged his injury may need surgery after the season is over, and feels confident he will return to 100%. When healthy, the 6-0, 205 pound tailback is one of the top players in the state of Virginia.

Schools are confident Antwain will return to 100% as well. He has heard from Virginia Tech, NC State, and UNC recently, and is planning a visit to the Wolfpack on November 22nd.
