Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, AR) linebacker Matt Stoltz would like to have made his official visit to Virginia this weekend for the game against Florida State. Because of a game late Friday night, both he and UVA defensive coordinator Al Golden felt it would be best to push back the date.

“I talked with Coach Golden and we are going to push back the date,” said the 6-3, 235 pound Stoltz. He is being recruited as an inside linebacker. “I wanted to go at first, but the more I thought about it, I would only be able to get there on Saturday and I wouldn’t be able to spend as much time with the coaches either because they will be getting ready for the game. We decided it would be better not to come.”

Stoltz will likely now take his official visit to Virginia in 2004.

“Coach Golden mentioned that I could come down the weekend of January 18th for the Florida State basketball game, so I might do that,” said Stoltz. “I know I will take an official visit to Virginia. I’ll definitely take one to LSU also.”
