Transfer Working Out for Ferrine

Before the start of his senior year, Leo Ferrine was forced to transfer to a new school. His former school, Bishop Francis Essex Catholic, lost funding and shut down at the end of the school year.

Ferrine transferred to St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey, and everything has worked out very well ever since.

“It was tough leaving some of my friends, but I came over with some of my former teammates and that has really helped,” said Ferrine. “In fact, I think St. Peter’s offers better education as well as athletics, which has really helped me on and off the field.”

St. Peter’s is 4-0 on the season, and Ferrine says his team has won by a combined margin of 210-0. He starts at free safety, plays receiver, and returns kicks and punts.
