The Virginia Cavaliers picked up another in-state target today, when Osbourn Park (Manassas, VA) offensive tackle Zak Stair verbally committed to Virginia.
Stair becomes the sixth player to commit to Virginia for the 2004 class. He joins William Campbell RB/DB Cedric Peerman, Rockbridge DL Jon Kirchner, and STAB DL/OT Chris Long as in-state verbals for the 2004 class.
“I just committed to Virginia today. I’m extremely excited,” said Stair, who chose Virginia over Maryland and Syracuse, both of which offered scholarships.
“Virginia just showed the most interest in me. I like the coaching staff a lot. When I went to the camp, they were just so excited about football. They have a great future, and I want to be apart of that. They are the number one public University in the country. It just is a good fit for me.”
