Salem (Roanoke, VA) linebacker Austin Casey has seen visitors from Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Wake Forest, and North Carolina come through his school this spring. Although he does not have any offers to this point, he hopes to impress these schools and more this summer.

“I’ve spoken with coaches from Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Virginia,” said Casey. “Maryland said they will offer me if I go to their camp this summer. I’m still not sure if I will make that one, but I’m definitely going to camp at UVA and Virginia Tech.”

Casey, whose father played defensive lineman at Virginia Tech, has the athleticism needed to compete on the next level. He would like to add more weight before the start of his senior season, which would give him the size to go along with his athleticism.

A player with excellent work ethic, Casey lifts early in the morning and in afternoons.
