Virginia Tech exited the spring in a different spot than it’s been in recent years: Without a laundry list of question marks.
Returning all your important veteran pieces, 86 percent of your production and your undisputed starting quarterback — not a luxury the Hokies have had all that often in the last decade — has that effect, leaving Tech’s fans with a bubbling sense of optimism heading into the offseason, a welcome change after years of rebuilding.

1. The backup QB spot remains a question, but how much would a transfer really help?
Pry was surprisingly candid afterward when talking about the backup quarterback position, acknowledging that there’s a discussion to be had about whether or not the Hokies need to bring in a transfer as a supplement for Pop Watson and Dylan Wittke behind Kyron Drones.
