It’s become vogue, not in a player’s senior year of high school, but even before his junior season, to announce a top list and narrow his recruitment. In that regard, Southern Columbia (Pa.) four-star wide receiver Julian Fleming was in line with many of his peers.

On July 4, Fleming announced a top six of Virginia Tech, Penn State, Clemson, Georgia, USC and Ohio State. Last week, though, that was off the table. Fleming, No. 25 in the 2020 Rivals100, posted on Twitter on Aug. 1: “Recruitment is now 100% OPEN”

Those same six schools are still major players for Fleming. The door, however, has been swung open a bit, to invite a few others in.
