Virginia Tech has been hitting the 2012 recruiting trail hard this late winter, extending a good amount of scholarship offers over the course of the past few months. In this edition of “Notes” TSL profile four of Tech’s newer offers, including three prospects from the state of Georgia and one from North Carolina.
Whitehead, Sealand and Parris
Tech has enjoyed recent success in recruiting the state of Georgia, most recently with Christian Reeves (TE, Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough) in the 2011 class and Davion Tookes (CB, Creekside H.S. in Fairburn) in 2012. Here is a look at three of the newer offers extended to Georgia prep 2012 products.
Kenderius Whitehead, DE/OLB, Monroe Area (Monroe, GA)
Monroe Area High School (Monroe, GA) produced Notre Dame-bound defensive end Stephon Tuitt in the 2011 class. Head coach Matt Fligg boasts another top defensive end in 2012 in 6-5, 215-pound Kenderius Whitehead, a prospect athletic enough to potentially play outside linebacker on the next level.
