Northern Vance (Henderson, NC) prospect Paul Crews is one of the top cornerbacks in the state of North Carolina. At 5-10, 171 pounds, he is a strong and sure tackler, making 96 tackles as a junior. He also intercepted eight passes, earning all-area and all-conference honors.

The strength to Crews’ game lies in his instincts. According to head coach Randy Long, Crews is one of those players with an ability to make plays.

“He’s smooth and controlled, and breaks well on the ball,” said Long. “Paul has a knack for making picks. And he has an uncanny ability to move forwards, backwards, and sideways easily.”

If there was one area Crews needed to improve before his senior season, it would be his speed. Through hard work and training, he has gotten much faster since last summer.
