Anthony Barber is considered one of the top point guards in the class of 2013. Rivals.com rates him a 5-star prospect and the no. 13 junior in the nation. Scout.com ranks him as a 5-star and no. 21 in the country, while ESPN.com has him as a 4-star recruit and the no. 25 junior in the country. As you might expect, the 6’2″, 165-pound Hampton (VA) product is a highly recruited player.
“Virginia Tech, UVa, Alabama, U-Conn, Kansas, N.C. State, Florida State, and some others,” Barber answered when asked what offers he is considering.
Duke headlines the list of interested schools that have not yet offered, but Barber says the Blue Devils staff is “looking at me.”
If Barber has a leader, he didn’t reveal it this past Saturday. He said he did not have a dream school growing up, adding also that he doesn’t have a definitive timetable for when he would like to make a commitment.
