The new Tech commitment is Dalton Keene, a 6’5″, 225-pound do-everything performer out of Chatfield High School (Littleton, CO). The versatile athlete, a 4-star prospect according to 247Sports.com, is likely to end up as a tight end at Virginia Tech.
“Proud to announce my commitment to Virginia Tech! I wanted to thank everyone who has helped me get this far, but we’re not done yet! #hokienation” – Keene wrote in the tweet posted above.
Keene, whose highlights you can see below, also held offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa State, Missouri, Nebraska and Syracuse. His decision kicks off what could be a big recruiting week for the Hokies with the Spring Game on Saturday and a decision coming from Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) defensive tackle Eric Crosby on Friday. Crosby is down to Virginia Tech and Tennessee.
Seems like a great get!
Exciting film. Keen to watch this kid develop.
Welcome Mr. Keene. You will be right at home here in the mountains of Hokie Nation.
