Recruiting Notes: WR Eric Kumah Narrows List (Free)

June 19 will be the day we learn where Eric Kumah plans to attend college. The Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA) junior wide receiver has revealed his plans as well as his final 10 in a tweet.

In-state ACC programs Virginia Tech and Virginia made the cut along with Illinois, Indiana, James Madison, Kentucky, Maryland, NC State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee.

Kumah is a big receiver prospect, checking in at 6’3″, 205 pounds. He is rated a 3-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals.com.

Virginia Tech currently has commitments from receivers Sam Denmark and Conner ODonnell in the class of 2016. Kumah would fit the bill for the Hokies in terms of adding size to the wide receiver position, which is a need in this class.

WEEKEND VISITORS

– Four-star defensive end Josh Brown, a Florida State commitment, was in Blacksburg this past Saturday. According to many outlets, the Tar Heel state standout received an offer from the Hokies while on the visit. Brown is a 6’3″, 220-pound prospect. Both 247Sports and Rivals rank him as a 4-star.

– Four-star outside linebacker Cameron Brown, a 6’6″, 210-pound junior out of Bullis School (Potomac, MD), made his way to Virginia Tech this past Saturday. In this tweet, Brown expressed that he “loved my visit to VT.”

Brown boasts over 20 FBS scholarship offers, including one from Virginia Tech. Boston College, Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Penn State are among the other schools the Hokies are contending with for Brown’s signature.

– Riverbend (Fredericksburg, VA) offensive lineman Zach Adams and Hough (Cornelius, N.C.) wide receiver Corey Sutton have not yet been offered by Virginia Tech, but both were at Tech on unofficials this past weekend.

Adams, a 6’6″, 300-pound prospect, has an FBS offer from Virginia. Sutton, who like Kumah brings good size to the receiver position (Sutton is listed as being 6’2″, 200 pounds), is pictured below with his friend, the aforementioned Josh Brown.
