Sam Rogers Drafted in Sixth Round of NFL Draft by Rams

Sam Rogers

Virginia Tech had to wait a while on Saturday to hear one of their players names’ called, but the names cam quickly in the sixth round. After Chuck Clark and Bucky Hodges, Sam Rogers was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams.

Rogers, who will likely play as a fullback, or even as a H-back type player, was taken with the No. 206 overall pick. Rogers was projected to be drafted in the later rounds, and there was a decent chance he would have to sign with a team after the draft.

Rogers joins Clark and Hodges as Hokies who have been drafted so far, all of whom were sixth round picks. Jerod Evans, Isaiah Ford and others are still waiting.
