For exactly a month, Cass Technical (Mich.) four-star cornerback Kalon Gervin has been down to just five schools — Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Louisville and Virginia Tech.
Gervin, No. 104 in the Rivals250 and No. 202 nationally in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, has one definite visit coming. He’s left the door open for more visits, but for now Virginia Tech is the only school left on Gervin’s calendar. A decision could be made in the next few weeks.
Gervin, who is on track to graduate from high school in December, will be in Blacksburg July 21-22 for the Hokies’ annual Blacksburg Bash barbecue. He last visited Virginia Tech this spring, but on his next trip, Gervin said he wants to see a different side.
“I wanna see the education and that kind of stuff,” he said. “Just what they can offer me, the academic support and all that stuff.”
