More ACC Programs Express Interest In Scott

Last November, following an excellent senior season, Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA) running back Anthony Scott landed a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech. He will further explore Tech the weekend of January 24-26, when he makes his official visit to Blacksburg, but by then the Hokies could have some company in terms of ACC schools that have offered.

Updating the latest on the 5’10”, 180-pound Scott’s recruitment, Green Run head coach Jeff McGowan said: “He has already been to Old Dominion on an official visit. He is going to ECU [on January 17] and Virginia Tech [on January 24]. UNC has started to show interest, and Clemson is showing a little interest too. The next month could be really hectic for Anthony.”

A Signing Day decision could happen, but if Scott finds the right fit he won’t hesitate to jump on it.

“I think if one of the visits clicks, he would just do it,” McGowan said of Scott possibly committing before Signing Day. “He does not want to drag other people along if he is ready. He also knows it could impact other players getting a scholarship.”
