A Look At VT Linebacker Target Brandon Lee

Linebacker is one of the top remaining positions of need for Virginia Tech in class of 2014 recruiting.  Benedictine (Richmond, VA) product Raymon Minor and Gilman (Baltimore, MD) speedster Melvin Keihn are two of Tech’s top local targets, but the Hokies are eyeing prospects outside of the Commonwealth and bordering states as well, such as Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, IN) standout Brandon Lee .

Lee is a 6’3″, 215-pound prospect with potential as an inside or outside linebacker on the major college level.

“We’ve promoted him as a versatile kid on defense,” Lawrence Central head coach Jed Richman said.  “He’s also a long-snapper and he’s very good at that.  If he played both ways, he’d find a place on offense too.  He has a moxie to him as far as understanding the game.”

This season is Richman’s first as Lawrence Central head coach.  When he was named head coach, Richman took notice of Lee on film and was equally as impressed when he met the standout prospect in person.
