Tuesday evening, Dinwiddie (VA) defensive lineman Corey Marshall , TechSideline.com’s #5 overall prospect in the state’s 2011 class, announced on Washington Post Live that he would attend Virginia Tech. The 6-1, 255-pound standout took some time to discuss his decision as well as other issues, including the possibility that he enrolls at Virginia Tech this coming January.

Marshall, who ultimately chose Virginia Tech over Virginia, received official scholarship offers from Buffalo, Connecticut, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, James Madison, Michigan, N.C. State, Richmond, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He totaled 122 tackles including 70 solo efforts and 17 tackles for loss as a sophomore and followed that up by amassing 112 tackles including 72 solo efforts and 21 tackles for loss last season as a junior.
