According to Stonewall Jackson (Manassas, VA) head coach Loren Johnson, 4-star running back Ryan Williams had a good official visit experience at Virginia Tech this past weekend. Williams, one of Virginia Tech’s top overall targets in this 2008 recruiting class, will now try to visit two other programs before he makes his college choice in early January.

“He enjoyed Tech,” Johnson said. “He said his mother enjoyed the academic aspect, which was a major concern. Tyrod Taylor was his host and I know he enjoyed Tyrod. He also joked with Cam [Martin]. He knew Cam when Cam played for GW-Danville. Ryan enjoyed the visit all the way around. He came back excited about it.”

Virginia Tech’s coaches made it known just how much Williams is wanted in Blacksburg.

“From what he said and how he felt, he just felt like the school was good and that they really wanted him to be a part of what is going on,” Johnson said.
