Drager Leading Tough TJHS Squad

Thomas Jefferson High School (Jefferson City, PA) is one of the top teams in the state and is off to a 4-0 start to the 2006 season. Tech recruit Chris Drager , a three-star prospect who plays tight end and defensive end, has helped his team to the undefeated record with five touchdown receptions so far this season.

“In most polls we’re ranked #1 in the state,” Drager said. His team is a member of the WPIAL Big Seven conference on the AAA level. “We have star players at key positions like quarterback and running back. We’ve played four games and we have three shut-outs already. And then we have like 180 points or so, so we’re doing good.”

Personally, Drager feels bigger, stronger and faster this season. He also says experience and better technique have impacted his performance on the field in a positive way.

“I think I’m playing pretty good. I never thought I’d score this many touchdowns already,” Drager said. “I’m doing pretty good defensively, too. We’re just working as a team and that’s why we’re so good. We have a few D-1 players, but we have a bunch of good players around us.”
