Last season, the Hermitage Panthers (Richmond, VA) had one of the best seasons in school history, going undefeated during the regular season. The Panthers fell short in their quest for a state championship, losing to Thomas Dale in the AAA playoffs.

Linebacker Andrew Bowman , who is one of the top prospects in the state of Virginia and the leader of the Panther defense, believes his team can achieve more this season.

“Basically, our goal is to go farther than we did last year,” said Bowman. “Our goal is to win a state championship. I think we will be better this year. We will be a lot faster at the skill positions than we were last year.”

Bowman himself switches from outside linebacker to middle linebacker. As a junior, he earned second-team all-metro and first-team all-district honors as an outside linebacker. He feels comfortable with his move to the middle, as he started two games at that position last season.
