Landers Nolley Named Georgia State Player of the Year

Virginia Tech basketball signee Landers Nolley was recently named the Georgia Class AAAAAA Player of the Year after leading Langston Hughes to the state championship.

Langston Hughes, which had only won one state playoff game in the history of the program before Nolley arrived, has now won two state championships.  Nolley scored 34 points and had 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals in the final, an 85-78 victory over Gainesville.  For the season, he averaged 31 points, eight rebounds and three assists. 247: No. 60 
Rivals: No. 51 
ESPN: No. 88 
Average: 66.33 

That makes Nolley the fourth highest ranked recruit of the Buzz Williams era, following Nickeil Alexander-Walker (No. 30 average rank), Chris Clarke (No. 56) and Ahmed Hill (No. 60).
