Virginia Tech Unveils New University Logo

Virginia Tech released a new university logo in a press release this morning.  The new university logo is part of the school’s new “brand” according to the press release.

It’s important to note that Virginia Tech’s athletic logo will not be changed.

  1. Yeesh. I guess I’ll sleep on it. But what does it convey? Kinda thinking hair care product but the weird thing is that despite the connected “V” and “T” it doesn’t really flow.

  2. Sounds like PC for the “Snowflakes” because the current logo is too harsh for them and they may need a ” Safe Place”. The old logo did not exclude any of our university disciplines and was an inclusive symbol for all.

  3. Ugg. Why did they bother. I hope very, very little was spent on this effort – but I fear a lot of ‘effort’ and perhaps $ when into it.

  4. Looks like the V got twisted… Thank goodness we will not see it on the sports clothing.. I would have had to make a run on Campus Emporium… 🙂

  5. I don’t care for it, but that’s just because I’m old and changes terrify me. Everything was better when I was young and they should stay the way they were forever.

  6. Thanks for putting that last sentence. I was thinking that was not going to be a good look on a football helmet.
