It’s been nearly two months since four-star linebacker Alan Tisdale made his college decision. Tisdale committed to Virginia Tech on July 1, and that isn’t changing anytime soon.
Even though Tisdale is still fully committed, other schools have come calling. Still, Tisdale is focused on the Hokies.
“I talk to the coaches every day, Coach (Charley) Wiles, Coach (Bud) Foster and Coach (Justin) Fuente,” Tisdale said. “They just check up on me. But it’s been consistent.”
Tisdale said he and assistant coach Charley Wiles have especially grown. Wiles has been Tisdale’s primary recruiter.
“It’s definitely gotten better,” Tisdale said of their relationship. “Since I committed, it got way better. They always shoot me a text or I’ll call them. We just talk about football and what’s going on in my life. He’s like a father figure. It’s just on and off the field.”
Wiles, Foster and Fuente have also discussed with Tisdale about his future position with the team.
