Virginia Tech football’s entire 2024 season has been frustrating, but this one is different. I’m frustrated at a whole lot of things today after the 38-34 loss to No. 7 Miami.
I’m frustrated with the end of the game, as you all are. I’m frustrated by some very questionable in-game decisions by Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry which, had they not been made, probably would have prevented the end-game Hail Mary scenario in the first place. And not too many are talking about this, but I’m also frustrated at some of those amazing plays that Miami players made down the stretch of last night’s game. Man, some of those plays were really impressive. I hate tipping my cap to Miami, but on some of those plays, I don’t have any choice.

It’s not even October yet and our view of this team and this coaching staff has already changed, and not for the better. I felt bad for the players last night. They played their tails off coming off a short week after a tough loss, and they were very nearly rewarded. As much as I’m frustrated, it’s even worse for those guys.
