MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Brutal. Just brutal.

The wait. The reversed call. The lack of immediate explanation. All of it: brutal.

The Hokies lost to No. 7 Miami 38-34 Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium in one of the most crazy, topsy-turvy games this reporter’s ever covered — a game that would have been an instant classic even before that final play.

But oh, that finish. That’ll be talked about forever.
