Upcoming visits will shed more light on the recruiting process, but Maury (Va.) 2026 wide receiver Jyran Evans remains patient.

There are already six scholarship offers that Evans claims, from Virginia Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss, Old Dominion, Buffalo and Campbell. He’s gotten a look at most of those schools, but Evans said he wants to dig a little deeper. There’s no end in sight to his recruitment, so Evans is taking in as much in as he can.

“The main thing I’m looking for is the relationship with the coach,” he said. “I want a good, healthy one because I want to go to college for football but also better myself as a man. Having a coach who’s willing to do that, that’d be great. Other than that, I’m looking for teammates who love the sport as much as I do, who want to go get it. I love players that have that winning mindset, because you can go a long way.”
