1) Name a VT recruit from the last 10 years who you most expected to be a huge star who busted, and another you expected little from who became a big contributor? — PadrosWindup

Chris Coleman: Man, that’s a good question. For a bust, it would be easy for me to pick a four-star player such as Devon Hunter or Nathan Proctor, but the truth is I wasn’t as high on Proctor as most others, and Hunter would be too easy a pick. I really liked his physical attributes, but as it turned out, he just couldn’t pick up the game mentally. But I’m going to go with a different one — a name you may not remember.

I was a huge Zion DeBose fan. He was a late bloomer who racked up 27.5 tackles for loss, 20 sacks and 41 quarterback hurries as a senior in high school. I thought the Hokies had gotten a steal, and to this day, he has some of the best defensive end highlights that I’ve ever watched.

I’d sign that guy all over again and feel great about it. As it turned out, he didn’t play much for the Hokies and eventually transferred to Kansas, where he was a rotational piece but never a full-time starter. A couple of things happened to DeBose that held him back:
