Right now, there’s a top seven and a pair of official visits set for McCallie School (Tenn.) 2024 three-star athlete Marcellus Barnes. In a matter of weeks, he hopes he’ll be ready to make a decision of where he’ll play college football.

On May 8, Barnes announced a top seven of Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Michigan State and Baylor. He has official visits set to the first two, but will likely visit more. Depending on how those trips go, Barnes wants to announce a commitment.

“I was thinking about a top three instead of seven, but I did that for many reasons,” he said. “I’ll be committing at the end of June, early July. I just want to get it out of the way and be at peace before the season starts.”
