Since the first of the year, there’s been just one school that Baylor School (Tenn.) four-star wide receiver Cameron Sparks has seen. But for him, that one was quite telling.

On March 16, Sparks and members of his family visited Virginia Tech for the first time. No. 29 in the 2025 Rivals100, Sparks has been quite sought so far, with 16 scholarship offers from a host of Power Five programs, like Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee and Michigan State. But while he’s still getting acclimated to the recruiting process, his stop in Blacksburg and others have given him a good benchmark.

“I honestly right now, I want to wait it out,” Sparks said. “Being young right now, I know there’ll be coaching staff changes with the schools that offer. I want to wait it out and commit before my senior year. That’d be the best thing, so I can see what coaches I’ll be playing for the following year.”
