Virginia Tech head coach Mike Young

When you look at this this season, what do you put your finger on when it comes to losses?

We’ve been woefully thin in the backcourt at times. Hunter Cattoor’s played very well, they’ve all played very well. But I don’t like having to play people 38 minutes a game. But there have been times that I’ve had no choice. We’ve been very good offensively at times, we’ve been very good defensively at times, but not with the consistency that you’ve got to have in the ACC, or at any league for that matter. But we’ve got a Louisville team tomorrow and we look forward to getting up there and getting on with the Cardinals.

At this point in the season, are you not expecting Darius Maddox back?

I think the likelihood of that happening is probably not good. His family is doing much better so we’ll see. But I think, again, the likelihood is probably not good.
