1) Is the loss of Hunter Cattoor what is causing Virginia Tech to lose these close games recently or is there more to it? – waglon

Chris Coleman: Nothing can 100% be put on the loss of one player, which is the case here. For example, Virginia Tech lost a close game to Boston College. Though Cattoor got hurt in that game, it happened late. The Hokies lost that game because they didn’t play well enough. Cattoor was on the court for 30 minutes that night, and that should have been enough to beat the Eagles.

The last two games are a different story, though. The absence of Cattoor forced either different roles or more minutes on everyone else, and I think it played a critical factor in a two-point loss to Wake Forest and a three-point loss to Clemson.
