Another Frustrating Loss For Virginia Tech

During the first half of last night’s Virginia Tech-NC State game, I sat in the same chair at the same end of the bar where I watched the entirety of the 2014 VT-Wake Forest game. The result, over six quarters of football with me sitting in this specific spot, was zero points.

I realized that at halftime. For the second half, I sat with some friends at the other end of the bar.

“Maybe a change of scenery will help us in the second half,” I told them as I sat down. At this point, I thought the scoring streak was going to end, so I was willing to try anything.

Sure enough, with me sitting in my new chair, Virginia Tech exploded for 21 third quarter points. Wow! The NC State offense could barely even pick up a first down and the Hokies had all the momentum. Virginia Tech was going to win that football game. A true freshman quarterback who was originally intended to redshirt wasn’t going to be able to rally the Wolfpack.
