Yesterday we hit you with Part 1 of our two-part series on potential Virginia Tech head coaches by looking at the candidates with head coaching experience. Today’s Part 2 will feature six coordinators whose names have been mentioned in relation to the Virginia Tech job, either on the boards or in media reports.

Today’s article won’t be anywhere near as long as yesterday’s piece for several reasons…

1: There generally isn’t as much information available on coordinators as there is for established head coaches.

2: It’s tougher to get a feel for the program philosophies for coordinators because media members are always asking them about X’s and O’s and personnel.

3: We feel that it’s unlikely that Whit Babcock makes a hire from the pool of available coordinators, as he greatly prefers head coaching experience.

4: Today’s article features just six names as compared to yesterday’s eight.
