The game day visits have been helpful for Baylor School (Tenn.) four-star offensive lineman Brycen Sanders, who has had four so far this fall. Each gave a snippet of what to expect on and off the field.
For Sanders, No. 225 in the 2023 Rivals250, it’s about piecing everything together. He now claims 15 scholarship offers, most recently from Mississippi State and Arkansas. And though he’s unsure of where he’ll commit to play and attend school, Sanders said he’s moving closer to at least narrowing down the field.
“I think I’m kind of in the middle stage,” he said. “I don’t want to rush into anything, but I have an idea of a couple of schools close to my top list. I think I’ll start narrowing in February. I’ll probably commit somewhere after I take my officials in the summer.”
On Oct. 9, Sanders made his first trip to Blacksburg for Virginia Tech’s game against Notre Dame. He arrived a few hours early, which allowed him to see some of the pre-game pageantry, which stood out to him.
“Probably my favorite part was seeing them with ‘Enter Sandman,’” Sanders said. “It was crazy. Fans were loud the whole game. That was my first time meeting Coach (Vance) Vice. He told me the staff watched my film as a staff and they really liked me. It was definitely a great experience there.”
