On Oct. 9, Sanders made his first trip to Blacksburg for Virginia Tech’s game against Notre Dame. He arrived a few hours early, which allowed him to see some of the pre-game pageantry, which stood out to him.

“Probably my favorite part was seeing them with ‘Enter Sandman,’” Sanders said. “It was crazy. Fans were loud the whole game. That was my first time meeting Coach (Vance) Vice. He told me the staff watched my film as a staff and they really liked me. It was definitely a great experience there.”
